The new IRAS Logo assimilates the past, present and future to demonstrate the future ready IRAS which upholds the principles of “Propriety, Proficiency and Productivity”.
The logo has been carefully designed to demonstrate the nature of the service and contemporary times.
Adorned with the National Emblem, the logo symbolizes service to the Government of India. The Railway bogie resting on the track symbolizes that IRAS is dedicated to serving the Indian Railways, the three wheels represents evolution and motion, and upholding the motto of “Propriety, Proficiency and Productivity”. The book and the computer monitor symbolizes that IRAS is the fusion of both old and new methods of analysis, its ability to continuously evolve and embrace innovations, bridging the traditional methods of accounting and book-keeping with latest technology such as data analysis, AI etc. to propel IR to an upward growth trajectory.
Finally the 25 pairs of leaves on the logo represents the 17 Zonal Railways and 8 Production units which comprise India Railways. They also symbolizes wisdom, prosperity, motion and continuity.
The logo is a demonstration of the “FUTURE READY IRAS”.

IRAS Day 2024- SCR Chapter
IRAS Association of South Central Railway-Chapter celebrated IRAS day on 30.11.2024 on a grand note. An august gathering of 62 IRAS Officers (Retired and Serving) has attended the celebrations. The celebrations began with lighting the lamp by Mr. S.Vivekanand, PFA/SCR, Ms. T. Hema Suneetha, FA&CAO/T&CM and Ms. Susan Blessy Bakki (Junior Most IRAS Officer) which was followed by prayer song.
Mr. S. Vivekanand, PFA/SCR, in his key note address made it a point to read verbatim message of our Hon’ble MF, Ms. Roopa Srinivasan on the occasion and welcomed the gathering with an educative speech about the transformation of Railways as well as the IRAS cadre prospective. He also mentioned about the important projects which are being carried out in SCR and their importance in building the nation, along with the improvement/growth in the financial performance of the Railway. Distinguished Guest speakers of IRAS, Mr.A.Venkateswar, (Former Executive Vice President, TATA Projects Ltd), Mr. NVS Reddy, (MD, HMRL), Ms.Sharmila Chavaly, Rtd.PFA/NRly and Mr. Amitava Mukherjee, (CMD/NMDC/Hyderabad) have addressed the gathering on this occasion on the theme “IRAS-Beyond Railways”.
On this occasion SCR IRAS chapter has felicitated retired IRAS officers who crossed age of 80 years.(Sri.G.V.Subramanayam/IRAS 1956 and V.S.Sastry/IRAS 1958). This gathering served as platform for Junior Officers to meet the erstwhile retired doyens of the service about whom they only heard on the past and the retired officers too were thrilled to see Junior Officers with the age of their grandchildren.
All this happened amidst electrifying compering by Smt.Rajani Jha,Dy.FA/LGD and Sri.Rami Reddy,Sr.DFM/GTL. Mrs.Neeti Sarkar,DRM/NED has kind enough to gift a motif of “ Avalokiteshvara Padmapani” to all the participants.
Grand Dinner and Cultural Activities were also arranged along with a Group Photo and selfie booth with IRAS logo.
